It belongs to the tradition of “convent work” (travaux de couvent or travaux de patience), where every element is a celebration of intricate detail and devotion.
The structure, blending brass and copper, supports a fascinating floral profusion. The standout feature of this chandelier lies in the use of fine glass beads, intricately threaded to form delicate petals and blossoms. These beads, of remarkable fineness, are characteristic of high-period ornaments.
